How to say “Every” in Thai:

⏰Every time = ทุกครั้ง /tuk krang/; ทุกที /tuk tee/
📍Everywhere = ทุกที่ /tuk tee/
📆Every day = ทุกวัน /tuk wan/
😊Every one = ทุกคน /tuk kon/
🏀Everything = ทุกอย่าง /tuk yang/

Common Meats in Thailand

What meat is it? = เนื้ออะไร /nuea a-rai/

Also-Mean (แปลงี้ก็ได้เหรอ)

อะไร /a-rai/ doesn’t mean “what” only. It also means something, anything, and nothing!

Some might translate “something” as “บางสิ่ง” /bang sing/ or “บางอย่าง” /bang yang/; it’s correct but might be too formal. In many situations that you want to say “something” or “anything”, you can just say “อะไร” /a-rai/.

ใคร /krai/ doesn’t mean “who” only. It also means “anyone” and “no one”!

✏️Note: “Who” in this case is the “who” question word only. (That’s why we marked a tiny “?” on it.) For the English “who” that is not a question (…those who…, for example), don’t say “ใคร” /krai/. Say “คน” /kon/ instead! You can say “คน” /kon/ for “anyone” and “no one” in this case, too.

🔎มีใครโทรมามั้ย /mee krai to ma mai?/

= มีคนโทรมามั้ย /mee kon to ma mai?/

🔎ไม่มีใครโทรมา /mai mee krai to ma/

= ไม่มีคนโทรมา /mai mee kon to ma/

Yes! You can “eat” water and medicine. In the Thai people’s mind, to eat (กิน /kin/) simply means to put something in the mouth and swallow it. Whether you chew or not, doesn’t matter.

💡Tip: You can say the three sentences in the first pic to your sick friend to show that you care.

In the Thai language, most liquids are called:

💧น้ำ /nam/ + _ _ _

💧👁️น้ำ /nam/ + ตา /ta/ (eye)= tear😭

💧🐝น้ำ /nam/ + ผึ้ง /pueng/ (bee) = honey🍯

💧🛢️น้ำ /nam/ + มัน /man/ (oily) = oil🛢️

💧⬇️น้ำ /nam/ + ตก /tok/ (fall) = waterfall

💧⬆️น้ำ /nam/ + พุ /pu/ (spout) = fountain⛲️

Some are not liquid, but they consist of liquid:

💧🪨น้ำ /nam/ + แข็ง /kaeng/ (hard) = ice🧊

💧🌴น้ำ /nam/ + ตาล /tan/ (sugarpalm) = sugar🧂

See? We Thais always name things simply. 5555

Fun Compound Words (คำประสมแสนสนุก)

The last one ถุงยาง is not the case here, though. 555 It’s actually in the same word set as ถุงพลาสติก /tung plastic/ ( = plastic bag = bag that is made of plastic).
